What do the Children and Teen Counseling Sessions Look Like?
Sessions are Tailored by Age
Our therapists can help kids and teens ages 10 and older.
Depending on which kids and teen therapist your child/teen will see (in Carrollwood or Lithia/Fishhawk), therapy may include different modalities
Our therapists may/will include Talk Therapy, CBT therapy, Bibliotherapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, games, stories, worksheets, activities, and take home activities to connect the session at home or school.
The goal of these sessions is not to "fix" but to support and to give tools.
*An important reminder...it is not expected for your child/teen to share everything with you, but we do help by supporting communication with their parents in healthy ways. Our therapists strive to build rapport and trust with your child/teen in order to effectively provide support and tools for their well being.
